When a student has budgeted time wisely, all activities are planned ahead of time. The Algebra homework is tucked neatly in the bookbag. The tutu is washed and ready for rehearsal the next day. In contrast, when students fail to organize their time, resources and supplies are often scattered and forgotten until the last minute. My parents are a lot alike, but they also have their differences. In fact, they both give good advice. However, my mom always sees the bright side of a situation. She’s quick to point out the many benefits of trying a new activity or getting to know a new friend. On the other hand, my dad is extremely cautious. He’s more likely to highlight the dangers of making a risky decision and helps me see where I need to be careful. Clearly, their similarities and differences really help me make good decisions.
